To seek assistance

Facing financial hardship can be overwhelming and challenging, we encourage you to tell us as soon as you can if you’re concerned about your ability to meet your financial commitments.  We are here to assist you in these situations and will work with you to put in place measures to help you manage your financial obligations.

How to apply

First step is to get in touch, call us on 8227 2222, email us as [email protected] or drop into our branch at 22 Chancery Lane, Adelaide.

We may ask for evidence of financial hardship through the provision of appropriate documents that show a change in personal circumstances (for example bank statements, medical certificates, pay-slips, and/or a statement of financial position) so that we can offer relevant assistance.

We will take the time to understand your situation and carefully consider how we might be able to help you get back on track and keep in touch with you along the way.

How we can help

We will work with you to help resolve any problems you’re having meeting financial commitments, based on your individual circumstances.  The types of financial assistance we may offer will depend upon each individual’s situation and may need to be for short, medium or longer period of time depending on your circumstances.

We will offer help with financial budgeting as thoughtful budgeting and planning maybe the key to achieving your goals.

Our staff members have been, and will continue to be, trained to deal with hardship cases in a sensitive and effective manner and with the utmost respect. Your application for financial hardship will be between us and your personal information will be secure and protected.

FSCU seeks to proactively identify and assist borrowers who may be experiencing financial hardship and may contact members that exhibit potential signs of borrower distress to offer assistance.

Acting responsibly

FSC will continue to act as responsible lenders, basing our lending decisions on a careful and prudent assessment of a borrower’s financial position.
